PIPPA PASSES, Ken. – The SMWC Women's Basketball team (10-6) was unable to pull out the win against a tough RSC opponent in Alice Lloyd (13-7). The Pomeroys kept it close throughout the first quarter, but Alice Lloyd would go on a 3-23 run in the 2nd quarter to pull away.
Allyson Hardiek was close to her first triple double of the season with a final stat line of 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 blocks.
By the Numbers
- Hardiek and Aliyah Williams both led the team with 11 points each. They would be followed by Sydney Ingram with 8 points.
- Hardiek's 9 rebounds would once again lead the team, closely followed by Brooklyn Jones' 8.
- Defensively, the Pomeroys would hold Alice Lloyd to just 27-75 shooting and 5-16 from the 3-pt line.
- Alice Lloyd is 25th in the NAIA in points per game, averaging 81.9 before tonight's contest.

Both the men's and the women's team will return home after an extended road trip to face #18 Rio Grande this Thursday, January 27th. THe women's game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and the men's for 7:30 p.m. ET.
