SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. - The SMWC women's volleyball team pounded Blackburn College in three sets tonight. This was the Pomeroys first sweep of the season and it will give them momentum heading into the SMWC Volleyball Classic this weekend.

- SMWC swept the Beavers in three sets (25-16, 25-12, 25-16)
- Senior McKenzi Kumpf finished the match with 11 kills and six digs
- Senior Gabriella Slagle tallied nine kills and a .211 hitting %
- Freshman Riley Kinney totaled eight kills and a whopping .615 hitting %
- Katelyn Cotter concluded the night with 25 assists and six digs
What's Next?
The Pomeroys will battle in the SMWC Volleyball Classic this weekend. In the two days, three-game stretch, SMWC will face Oakland City University, Midway University, and West Virginia Institute of Technology. The first serve will be on Friday, September 14th versus Oakland City University.
