Box Score MIDWAY, Ky. - Last night, the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's basketball team tipped off its 2018 campaign on the road against Midway University. The Pomeroys lost 108-67.
How It Happened:
At the end of the first quarter, SMWC found themselves trailing 26-12. The three-point shot was not falling as the Pomeroys shot 19.5% (8-41) from the field on the night. At halftime, The Woods trailed 55-32. The Eagles proved to be the more physical team as they won the rebound battle 72-to-56, with 46 offensive rebounds tallied. The fourth quarter served to be the Pomeroys best of the night as they scored 26 points. SMWC starts the season off 0-1 under first-year head coach Robert Belf.
