Pomeroys Fall to Cincinnati-Christian

CINCINNATI, Ohio (Women's Soccer) – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer team traveled to face Cincinnati Christian University on Tuesday evening in a midweek match up. SMWC played hard but were defeated 6-1 by the Eagles.

The Pomeroy's lone goal was scored by Ashley Jezik. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College recorded two shots for the day. Mannah Mace kept the goal for SMWC and came up with 12 saves in the match.

For Cincinnati Christian, Megan Klenk was the leading scorer with three goals. Klenk was followed by Stephanie Reece, Ashley Parrett, and Maren Hance with one goal each. Hance and Olivia Fite accounted for one assist a piece. Kendra Steepe was the goalie for the Eagles as she recorded two saves for the match.

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College will be in action again on Saturday, Sept.  9 as they travel to Earlham College. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
