OWENSBORO, Ky. (Women's Soccer) – After three road losses on the season, the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer team came up with a win over Brescia University on Wednesday night. The Pomeroys defeated the Bearcats with a score of 2-0.

SMWC's first goal was scored by Hannah Miller at the 25:59 mark after an assists from Yadira Castellanos. Castellanos got in on the action as she scored the Pomeroy's second goal at the 70:17 mark.

In the goal for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College was Castellanos who came up with two big saves to prevent Brescia from scoring.

Jerrica Kidd was in the goal for the Bearcats and came up with five saves.

SMWC returns home on Sunday, Sept. 17 as they face off with Eureka College. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
