Box Score SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer team fell 6-1 in its home opener on Saturday against Harris-Stowe State. The Pomeroys are now 0-4 on the year.
Harris-Stowe State divided its scoring with three goals in the first half and three goals in the second half, while SMWC added its lone goal of the afternoon in the 79th minute of play. The Pomeroys recorded two shots in the first half and then three in the second half with the extra shot leading to a score for the Pomeroys. Scoring SMWC's goal was junior Yadira Castellanos.
The Pomeroys will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Brescia at 5:30 p.m. SMWC's second home match of the season will feature LIVE stats and video via the Pomeroys LIVE Portal.
