Box Score 2 SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College volleyball team went 1-1 on day two of the SMWC Volleyball Classic presented by Dorsett Automotive. The Pomeroys went 2-2 in the classic and are now 6-16 on the year.
The first match of the day was a 3-1 (29-31, 16-25, 25-11, 22-25) loss to Rochester. SMWC then rebounded in their 2 p.m. match with Wright State – Lake Campus, as they earned a 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-13) victory.
Against Rochester, sophomore McKenzi Kumpf had a match-high 25 kills and 10 digs to earn a double-double. Sophomore Gabriella Slagle had 15 kills and 16 digs for a double-double, while sophomore Mary Alvanos recorded 48 assists and 14 digs for a double-double. Sophomore Monica Mack recorded a match-high seven block assists.
Against Wright State –Lake Campus, Kumpf again led all attackers with 16 kills. Junior Madeline Howes recorded a match-high 13 digs and Sophomore Autum Loughead recorded three solo blocks and one block assist.
