CARLINVILLE, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College volleyball team finished the 2016 regular season on a high note Wednesday, as they defeated Blackburn, 3-0 (25-23, 25-11, 25-16). The Pomeroys finish the regular season with a 10-23 record overall and a 4-4 record against USCAA opponents.

Sophomore McKenzi Kumpf led the Pomeroys in kills with nine, while sophomore Monica Mack recorded seven kills for a .357 attack percentage. Sophomore Mary Alvanos recorded 22 assists and sophomores Gabriella Slagle and Autum Loughead each recorded four service aces.

The Pomeroys will now wait to learn if they will receive a bid to the USCAA National Tournament. Bids will go out on November 1 at 3 p.m. For more information on the USCAA Volleyball National Championship you can visit the tournament page.
