OAKLAND CITY, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College volleyball team fell to Oakland City on Tuesday night, 3-0 (19-25, 17-25, 17-25). The Pomeroys now sit at 8-19 after the Mighty Oaks got revenge for SMWC's win over OCU back on October 1 in Hamilton Arena.

Sophomore McKenzi Kumpf recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs. Sophomore Monica Mack had SMWC's most efficient night attacking with a .385 attack percentage (6-13-1). Sophomore Mary Alvanos recorded a match-high 26 assists, while junior Madeline Howes recorded a match-high 22 digs.

The Pomeroys will be back in action this weekend when they head to Calumet College of St. Joseph for four matches. The Pomeroys will play Lincoln Christian and Roosevelt on Friday and William Penn and Calumet College of St. Joseph on Saturday.
