Box Score SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. – The Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College women's soccer team fell to crosstown rival Rose-Hulman on Tuesday night, 5-0. The Pomeroys now sit at 1-7 on the year.
RHIT got out to an early 1-0 lead after scoring in the second minute of play. The Fightin' Enigneers then went on to score three more goals in the first half. RHIT's first half goals came in the 2nd, 21st, 25th and 30th minute and were scored by Kate DeMoss, Hayley Gilliam, Samantha Jacobs and Eliska Saiz, respectively. The Fightin' Engineers' Kate DeMoss added one more goal in the second half in the 81st minute.
The Pomeroys were outshot 19-8 on the day with junior Cami Navarra recording a team-high four shots, while senior Kylee White added three. Junior Georgie Macy was in goal for the first 45 minutes making two saves and allowing four goals. Sophomore Shannon Sonderman was in goal for the second half and made three saves and allowed one goal.
The Pomeroys will be back in action on October 3, when they head to St. Catharine for a 2 p.m. start.
