Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College has named Ace Hunt as interim sports information coordinator through May 31, 2024.
A veteran member of the Wabash Valley and the sports information profession, Hunt spent 19 years at Indiana State University from 2001-20. His final four years were spent as Associate Athletic Director for Communications & Digital Content. His Indiana State experience included coordinating publicity efforts for the basketball, football, women's golf and women's soccer teams, along with overseeing all communications for ISU athletics.
"Saint Mary-of-the-Woods is fortunate to add someone with Ace Hunt's significant experience at the highest level of college athletics to handle our sports information role for the remainder of this school year," said Kevin Lanke, Associate Vice President for Athletics. "It's a very exciting time at SMWC with several programs expected to compete at a national level in the next three months, and Ace will be able to help the college maximize its publicity efforts from these accomplishments."
Hunt's distinguished career has also included stops at Florida State University, Western Kentucky University, and as a student assistant in the University of South Carolina sports information office before moving to Terre Haute.
